Waking Up to Visionary Plant Consciousness

Working with plant medicine is an experiential journey and so unique for each individual.  Through this work we are clearing our minds and bodies on a physical and energetic level. Since we all have unique pasts, experiences, ancestry and past life karma to handle, then of course its going to be a different experience for everyone. But what remains the same for each experience is the movement toward a higher consciousness that´s undeniable and universal in its truth.  We realize our interconnectedness;  our drive to be happy and free;  our desires to live through the heart and quiet the distortions of the mind.  The messages of all great teachings are Universal, yet packaged in different ways, so creatively, so as to reach these important messages to everyone on this Planet.

I highly recommend reading a book that I´ve just started about visionary plants that´s so incredibly fascinating called Visionary Plant Consciousness, The Shamanic Teachings of the Plant World, by JP Harpingnies. I´ve also heard The Cosmic Serpent is also a totally fascinating books on this subject.

One of the most amazing things that has occured to me over the past several weeks is something that I read in this book that I wanted to share.

“Plant life has been here for 1.4 billion years.  Human beings have been on this planet for 2 million years. Western Science is only 600 years old.  There is enormous wisdom in biology and we must become able to tap into that, articulate it, and activate it. We are the crowning achievement of the evolutionary process. Let´s not betray that. Let´s make the ascent to angelic being that is, I am sure, the intention of the Gaian Mind and all the rest of the life with which we share the planet.”

What struck me about this was that we are so new on this planet and plants have been around for so long.  Plants are seemingly stationary, yet they have extreme molecular intelligence.  Evolution is dynamic and creative and these organisms are adapting and devising ways through biology to not only keep every living thing on this earth alive, but they manipulate the environment through chemicals to attract or detract all these beings through the chemicals they produce.

“Plants photosynthesize – take sun, carbon dioxide and minerals from basic elements and transform them to complex organic compounds that are Universal to all organisms on Earth (proteins, lipids, etc). Plants can´t move so they substitute biosynthesis, chemical ability for behavior. They use an enormous elaborate array of chemical compounds to achieve their goals. Plants developed neurotransmitter type molecules long before there were nervous systems to interact with and these chemicals have extraordinary capacities to be internal signaling mechanisms within the brain”.

When you experience plant medicine work you really gain access to the spirituality of the Gaian Consciousness, as the plants are conduits and channels of this intelligence. You begin to understand that there is knowledge beyond our logical mind. There are realms we are not aware of.  You feel and understand how important it is to heal ourselves now for the evolution and salvation of the planet.  The time is NOW to turn things around.  We can either wake up, heal and become warriors of protection, or bow down to mass consumption, political and financial bullshit and let it all collapse.

I have made the decision to become a beacon of light for this world using my favorite creative healing modalities accessed by my gifts.  I am responsible first and foremost to work toward the best version of me and whilst doing so be a support to help others in that process. I´m so excited to have placed my energy into this work and Yoga and look forward to continued elevation in this process.

We are always evolving and we don´t know it all, so I am in the process of being open to all sorts of teachings.  The Western culture is totally new in comparison to the older indigenous cultures such as these Shamanic healers in the Amazon.  Yoga really opened my mind to understanding the importance of understanding other cultures and their intelligence and bond with Nature.  The Vedic texts are some of the oldest texts in humanity.  Their messages are powerful and people in the Western culture woke up to their power (Yoga is now a billion dollar industry). We need to revisit ancient teachings and listen instead of shutting them down by our sometimes ego-centric Western way of thinking.

“Science is an accumulation of information that allows you to frame more questions, but you should never come to the point at which you think you have it all figured out.”

The earliest books written described the use of entheogenic potions to experience Divine reality throughout time and opened up to the experience of the “Universal Mind Lattice”  coined by visionary artist Alex Grey. He would explain we are all unique nodes in the big love circuit.  I love this idea of discovering the “one big Love circuit”!  I recently took this concept to my plate. I bless every plate of food that comes to the table. We aren´t here just to love humans, but all living things.  I like to place my hands above my food and say thank you to the Earth and the plants for providing me with nourishment.  I thank all those that placed their love into picking and preparing it. I make sure to eat food that´s organic and locally farmed to help with the impact on the Earth.  ( I don´t want to get too deep here as I have a blog I´m writing about the movie, Food Inc — everyone needs to watch it!).

I have two more workshops left at The Temple and I know I´ve only begun to scratch the surface of this work, but I know its powerful and beautiful.  Information and downloads are coming fast and I´m settling the information comfortably into my body and psyche and loving every minute of it. I am here to transform and to help spread that transformation through inspiration.  Maybe you will be called to it as well.

I have so much more to share and I am enjoying the creativity and the unfolding of this process.  I wish you all many, many blessings.

My Trip to Peru!

January 14th, 2011 | Category: Sacred Medicine,Shamanic Healing

Dear Friends and Family,

There is so much to write and so little time! I only have Internet access tonight and I will return to the Temple of the Way of The Light tomorrow morning for another two weeks of volunteering without access to the outside world. I will come back to Iquitos, the main town, for one to two days at the most in between workshops, making me a bit more inaccessible than I had imagined. With the immense healing work that we do at the Temple it’s actually nice to be able to be isolated in the jungle to integrate all that is learned and discovered through our workshops.

Please visit the Temple website to learn more information about the amazing shamanic healing work that is being done here with Ayahuasca and other master plants dieted by the Shipibo medicine doctors of the Amazon. The level of the transformational work that I’m experiencing first hand is absolutely incredible. (http://www.templeofthewayoflight.org)

The Temple of the Way of Light is a combination of a physical and metaphysical non- profit hospital that offers physical and emotional healing and true spiritual awakening through the use of nutritional diet, herbs, and Ayahuasca plant consciousness directed by several-generation shamanic healers trained in this ancient, sacred energetic practices of the Amazon.

I have only attended one workshop to date and I can say that it’s been some of the most challenging work that I have done ever in my life, but I have received profound insights and I have only just scratched the surface. I am looking forward to my next two workshops to discover more about my spiritual path. I have healed past emotional pain and expelled a large amount of negative energies. Negative energy piles up in our system over the years through mini emotional traumas, work, money, relationships, environment and so forth. After a while you need to clean your engine and although I have been doing tune ups through Yoga for several years, this is a massive re-haul of the engine! It’s truly amazing, like attending years of therapy in a few weeks. I say this work is like a rocket to our Soul!!!

I’m teaching Yoga classes at the Temple too and loving it. The movement, breath work, and chanting is so complementary to this work. I love being able to offer my Yoga teachings. Yoga has the same common goals of stilling the mind, healing our bodies, aligning our chakra systems, and reaching spiritual enlightenment or Samadhi. So I’m continuing my personal practice and teaching a bunch while here in Peru!

The jungle is hot, but we’re in the shade amongst lots of trees, beautiful butterflies, dragonflies, star-filled skies and the wonderful noises of the frogs, crickets, monkeys, etc. There is a symphony of sounds every night that would blow your mind! I’ve met wonderful travelers (that now have all left and a new batch will arrive in three days) and have had so many interesting conversations! There are no TVs, no cell phones, no computers, and no electricity! We just have a simple bed, oil lamps, mosquito nets, books, yoga mats, hammocks, floral baths, compost toilets, a minimal diet, great conversation and healing. I’m three weeks into a diet of no dairy, no sweets, no spicy food, no fried food, no salt, no sugar, no wheat or gluten – just straight up veggies, fish, quinoa, rice and fruit. I feel wonderful. So wonderful!!!

So things are great, thanks for listening and I can’t wait to write about my experiences. There is just so much information that I need time to digest it and then I will be posting many, many writings, stories and discoveries. I’ve already filled half a notebook…maybe it will end up as a book! ;)  I’ve posted a photo album on Facebook too!!

I want to offer many blessings in this beautiful 2011. I’m thinking of all of you and sending lots of love and healing energy your way!

My Inspirational Intentions for 2011!

January 03rd, 2011 | Category: Inspiration,Intention Setting

The start of a new year is a great time to set intentions! I used to set goals with numbers all the time or I’d say “I’m not going to do xyz.” This year I’m taking a whole new approach to intentions one that I think is way more powerful. As I know from the Law of Attraction that saying you are NOT going to do something just brings that NOT into focus and existence in your life. The goals with numbers can be good, but if you are a perfectionist like me, you can be setting yourself up for disappointment if you aren’t exact, then you feel bad. Why set intentions that don’t make you feel good?

So this year my intentions are positive statements. These are ways I wish to manage my life. These are all attainable and manageable and written in a way that is simply inspirational to me! So I wanted to share them with my community. If you share your intentions you can also be held accountable for them and I love having the support of my community to keep me true to my intentions!

My Intentions for 2011 (and beyond)!
